Bailiúchán Béaloidis Árann is indebted to all the people and various organisations that supported our endeavours through the years.
Firstly, we express our sincerest gratitude to the people of Árainn who so willingly helped us to create the collection, especially those who contributed interviews and information, or wrote a piece for us, or shared images, or spent time with the women documenting placenames and charting the names of wells, roads and hills on maps. Some of those stalwarts are no longer with us. It is a source of joy and satisfaction to know that their knowledge, wisdom, and contributions will live on for years to come.
We are especially grateful to Maeve Uí Fhlaithearta, now deceased, the woman who first drove the initiative, establishing the FÁS course and inspiring people to participate; to folklorist and historian Pádraigín Clancy, who served as project coordinator in the early days and gave professional guidance; to Treasa Ní Dhioráin, who also served as project coordinator for a time; to every individual member of Mná Fiontracha from the very beginning; and to Deirdre Ní Chonghaile, who worked as digital curator on this website.
